Mural painted in the fronton of Izurdiaga, Navarre. The main image is based on a 1960 photograph by the Navarrese photographer Nicolás Ardanaz. This photograph was taken in Sarasa, near Izurdiaga, and the principal subject’s name is Basilia Zabalza. As luck would have it, we were able to meet her and invite her to see the mural.
