Trinquete (early twentieth century) and fronton of Lekunberri, Navarre. These building’s walls were very deteriorated, so proper cleaning, repair and preparation was necessary before painting the mural.
In the past, the esplanade was the site of the town square, which was also known as “the ring”, a kind of athletics track. Rural sports, woodsmen, Basque rural sports participants and Basque Pelota are the motifs for the mural design with a predominance of red and green, very symbolic colors of Lekunberri.
